RASASC awarded funding for trauma counselling work
RASASC has been awarded £9,970 from the National Lottery Community Fund
We're thrilled to have been awarded £9,970 from The National Lottery Community Fund to support our trauma counselling work with survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
Counselling can help survivors come to terms with the intense trauma of sexual abuse as well as dealing with some of the strong emotions and feelings they may be experiencing.
Dr Susan Stevens, Clinical and Assessor Lead at RASASC Guildford said: “This funding will help us support our most vulnerable clients as they seek to come to terms with what has happened to them.
“Through counselling, we can help them better understand the impact of the trauma they have experienced, as well as helping them to cope with intense emotions and feelings they may be experiencing, and work towards positive change.”
Thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for this support, enabling us to continue to be there for those that need us.
