Support Line Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers aged 23+ to work on our Support Line, offering listening and support to clients on our waiting list for counselling.
This service helps to reassure clients that have opted in to receive calls from the Support Line that they are not forgotten, and provides a safe space for them to talk about anything they wish. The wait times for counselling can range from a few months to a few years, so the service provides essential support to clients during this time.
The service operates from 6:30pm to 8:30pm Monday to Thursday, and we ask that volunteers can commit to one shift every fortnight. To find out more, please read the role description.
To apply, please complete both the application and equal opportunities forms and return them to admin@rasasc-guildford.org by the closing date of Friday, 9 May. We are committed to equal opportunities, and we warmly encourage applications from all sections of the community particularly applicants from diverse groups.
If you are interested in this role, there will be an opportunity to meet the Support Line trainers in an online session and find out a little more about the Support Line. If you would like to attend the online session, please email Liz on liz.helpline@rasasc-guildford.org
