February marks LGBT+ History month, celebrating the achievement and diversity of LGBT+ people, as well as raising awareness and combating prejudice.
At a time when the LGBT+ community is experiencing a rise in hate crime, visit the LGBT+ History Month website for details of how to get involved and show your support.
The theme for 2024 is medicine, celebrating LGBT+ peoples’ contribution to the field of medicine and healthcare, especially across the NHS and in the face of the COVID pandemic. This is in contrast to the varied and poor experiences of many LGBT+ people in accessing and receiving healthcare, which has left many facing health inequalities today.
At RASASC, we support all survivors of rape and sexual abuse over the age of 13 across Surrey. To find out more about our services and how to get in touch, visit our Get Support page
