Statement of Confidentiality
At RASASC Guildford the ISVA service offers a confidential service which supports the client in the immediate crisis and signposts them to appropriate longer term support.
The confidentiality of ISVA clients is maintained within the ISVA service. However, if we are worried about your safety or the safety of someone else, then RASASC may have to break confidentiality so we can get you help. We take confidentiality seriously and will only do this in exceptional circumstances. These would include:
- Where there is serious risk of harm to self or others.
- Mandatory duty to report terrorism and drug trafficking and money laundering.
- First disclosure, where a criminal case is going before the court, and new evidence, which has not been disclosed to the police, is disclosed to the ISVA.
We will try and talk to you before we pass information on. Parties to whom we may disclose information include the emergency and social services.
